Well done to UK Cypriot Sophia Hadji-MIchael on being part of the team of the Craig Charles Funk and Soul show on BBC Radio 6 music which won the Gold Award for “Best Music Entertainment Show” at ARIAS last night . She is part of the team that produce the show . An amazing achievement!.

A University Of Manchester graduate Sophia has worked as an Assistant Producer and Presenter.
On BBC 6 Music she works across the Craig Charles weekday-afternoon show as well as the Early morning breakfast show with Chris Hawkins and Amy Lamé. Her responsibilities include researching guests/music, scriptwriting and editing audio clips.
On Radio 1’s Life Hacks she recruits guest callers and on BBC Sounds she music reports. She was also part of a team which delivered a winning pitch to the BBC to produce a major daytime show on 6 Music.
Outside of this she has presented for a number of community stations across Manchester and London (including Pie Radio, Reform Radio, Subtle Radio, Fuse FM and All FM).
Sophia has grown her blog Address-it into a large-scale arts event which promotes and celebrates Manchester’s diverse talent.
Furthermore she produced and directed a short documentary on Manchester’s Afro-Caribbean Carnival working closely with some of the founding-females of the cultural event.
