We sadly announce that Australian Cypriot Antonis Papandony has passed away

It is with a deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Antonis Papandony on 18th July 2021. He was 8 days shy of his 90th birthday. Antonis was from Morphou in Cyprus, he was born in 1931 and emigrated to Australia as a fresh-faced 19 year old in 1950. As one of the early Cypriots there in Australia, he was a true pioneer. Survived by his wife, Androulla of Karavas, sons Harry, Savvas and Steve, grandson Tyrone, and great-grandchildren Mila and Elias, he will be forever missed. Everyone always remembers his smile.
