UK Cypriot Sophie Dionissiou stars for Cyprus in their U19 win over 2-1 win North Macedonia.
17 year Sophie plays as either a striker or a winger. and she currently plays for Watford ladies under 23s development squad.
She played for Tottenham ladies from 2019 to 2021 leaving last summer to join Watford.
She also played for both Barnet and Middlesex county teams.Sophie grew up in Totteridge in north London. She attended frith manor primary school and Wren Academy secondary school in Finchley. She now attends Oaklands college in St Albans and plays for the Arsenal Oaklands team.
Her grandparents are from Episkopi tis Paphos monounerou and marathovounos. From her mother’s side kyrenia and London.
She started playing football at 9 years old at school and captained the boys team. She was then invited to attend trials for the Barnet District team at which point she was scouted, made captain of the Barnet District team and signed for Hendon fc playing a year above her age group.
At that time she idolised alexis Sanchez and since his departure from arsenal idolises neymar.
