London-based singer-songwriter Nathalie Miranda is set to release her first single in Greek on July 1st. Χίλια Σημάδια (which translates to 1000 Scars), is a dramatic, empowering zeibekiko about healing from a bad breakup and breaking free to take revenge.
Nathalie said: “This song embodies everything I love about Greek music: it’s dramatic, over the top, and full of Mediterranean passion. I’m so proud to present my first Greek single. As a Greek Cypriot, I’ve dreamed of writing and recording a song in Greek for years. Even if you don’t speak Greek, you’ll feel the passion!”
Written and recorded at Nathalie’s home studio, with an official video shot on iPhone, this track is authentically homegrown with a superstar polish: producer Harry K, who boasts credits on some of Greece’s biggest artists records, built on Nathalie’s lyrics and melody, adding instrumentation and modern production elements to amp up the drama and bring her full artistic vision to life.
The music video concept follows the girl in the song who has kidnapped her ex-partner and has told him that until he accepts that what he did was wrong, she’ll leave him there held hostage.
