UK Cypriot Julia Huetson shaves her head to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support in memory of her sister in law Pernilla
Julia a Nursery practitioner from North London whose mother is from Akanthou is raising money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.
Her sister-in-law, Pernilla recently passed away from secondary breast cancer. The spread was aggressive and traumatic for the whole family. Pernilla wanted to be at home with her husband Steve and her two children, Nora May 13 and Alex who is 8 years old, especially in her last few days. The home care was unbelievable, available at all hours and incredibly supportive, not just for Pernilla but for the whole family. They made her last wish to die at home supported by the family she loved so much come true.
To help towards raising money and in memory of Pernilla, Liza from Elysium shaved Julia’s head on 17th February 2023. She made this promise to Pernilla when she was going through chemo and was true to her word.
Pernilla stayed strong for her children. Her positive, happy energy saw her through right up to the very end.
So please help her raise as much as possible for these very special nurses who give their all to support families going through desperate times. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They never get the gratitude they truly deserve. Thank you Macmillan Nurses.
