UK Cypriot Harry Mills is making a name for himself at Brighton Hove Albion and starred recently for Brighton in two U18 games in beating Chelsea and Fulham 3-2 in both games.
He was born in Brighton his maternal grand parents from Komi Kebir and is starring in the left side of the defence in the Brighton side..
To gain his scholarship, he had to always train well, play matches to the best of his ability and try to impress! He has been at Brighton since the age of seven, Every two years at the academy contracts are either renewed or withdrawn, so he had to maintain his level of performance in training and in matches to ensure that he was retained. He learn to live with the pressure – they have reports from the coaches after every training session and every match. It is very intense!
He supports Manchester United, and when he was 12, he played against them in a tournament in Belgium (Truce Cup) and he was Captain! he has also played and scored against Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in various tournaments in Europe. But being awarded the scholarship is probably his proudest moment as we know how hard it is to be awarded one.
He is playing in the U18s Premier League and will be on the Premier League App! Playing in the FA Youth Cup is also amazing especially when you consider all the famous names who have graced this competition in the past. He has also been fortunate to have been invited to train with the Brighton first team.
