The late Chris Lazari was honoured by President Anastasiades at a ceremony in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia his oldest son Leonidas Lazari was there to receive the Award.
Christos Lazari who was born in Dora, Limassol arrived in Britain at 16 years old with £20 in his pocket to seek a future here in London. In the early seventies he started working in the dress business eventually owning his own dress manufacturing business Drendie Girl before entering in the property investment business. Owning forty-five acres across London through a network of property companies.
Chris Lazari was also also a member of the Radiomarathon children in need charity committee where he was well known for his philanthropic work.
In front of 800 guests at the Hilton Hotel Park Lane in year 2012 Chris Lazari received a life time award at the Props Presentation organised by the Variety Club On the same night Lord Sebastian Coe received the “Most significant contribution to London Award to with the work he is doing towards the success of the London Olympic Games.
