Cypriot director Kyros Papavassiliou will participate in this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival with a film entitled “Embryo Larva Butterfly”.
The Karlovy Vary IFF will take place between 30 June and 8 July in the Chech Republic.
According to a press release by the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the participation of the new film of Kyros Papavassiliou in this important festival is not a surprise, “given his remarkable creative path until today.”
This is Papavassiliou’s second feature film, which has been included in the 12 films of the Proxima competition program of the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The film is a Cyprus-Greece co-production and has been financed by the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus/Department of Modern Culture (Film Advisory Committee).
