Omonia continue to top the league in Cyprus after a 0-0 draw with Anorthosis The only real chance came to Omonia when they hit the woodwork at the start of the second half,
They now head into a big match versus second placed AEL in Limassol on Saturday.
AEL drew 0-0 with their third placed Limassol rivals Apollon on Monday night.
AEK beat Olympiakos 2-1 both the AEK goals came from their top goalscorer Trickovski in the third minute with a penalty then the other with a long distance shot in the 27th minute. Olympiakos lone goal came from Soteriou in the 68th minute.
The situation at the top of the Cyprus First Division’s relegation playoff group remained unchanged after the weekend, following the 1-1 draw between Pafos FC and Apoel Nicosia on Saturday.
Seventh-placed Pafos who have a UK Cypriot manager in Stephen Constantine top the relegation group with 36 points, followed by Apoel in eighth place with 34 points and ninth-placed Salamina with 32 points.
Apoel took the lead through a Tomas De Vincenti free-kick in the 51st minute, while Pafos found an equaliser in the 84th minute through Berigaud.
Ethnikos Achna beat Doxa 2-1 with the victor’s goals coming from Majdevac in the 29th minute and Elia in the 78th minute and Doxa scoring in added time through Calo.
Nea Salamina fought back to beat Ermis Aradippou 2-1 Ermis scored first through Roushias in the 61st minute Then Nea Salamina pulled two goals back through Siathas and Wagner in the 78th and 84th minutes respectively.
Karmiotissa beat Paralimni 4-2 their goals coming from Romo 2 and Chadjivasilis 2. Romo also scored another goal but this time an own goal for Paralimni their other goal came from Juan Felipe.
