Dr Costas Costa has been awarded in the category Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia in the General Division as well for service to medicine as a general practitioner
We are proud to announce that Lifetime member and strong supporter of the Cyprus Community of New South Wales , Dr Costas Costa, was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his services to medicine.
Dr Costa was recognised for his lifetime of work in support of public health, Medicare and advocating around the health needs of all Australians. Dr Costa is well known, loved and respected not only by his patients, but by all who have collaborated with him in a long life of social commitment and activity.
Dr Costa, as a first generation Cypriot. He has remained connected to his heritage through his involvement and support of Club and Community throughout his life. Most recently, he has stood by our Community by making a strong contribution to our Community in its time of need.
Dr Costa was born in Australia in 1951 his parents were farmers from the village of Akaki in Nicosia, Cyprus.He has dedicated a lifetime to Cypriot Australians and the betterment of all Australians.
