Andrew Lambrou has arrived in Cyprus for his final rehearsals before leaving for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Andrew Lambrou has traveled from Australia to Cyprus as he prepares to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. The singer posted on social media his vocal rehearsals for the competition where he will be performing “Break A Broken Heart”.
Andrew Lambrou is one of a handful of artists competing in this years contest that were not born in the country they are representing. Among the other artists is La Zarra who was born in Canada but will represent France.
Who is Andrew Lambrou?
Andrew Lambrou was born on May 25 1998 to Greek-Cypriot parents in Sydney, Australia. After winning a school singing competition at the age of 5, his mother enrolled him in a music school.
In 2013, Andrew started uploading covers to YouTube. A short clip of him singing “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith went viral after being shared by a Spanish music site, earning him 2,000 new followers overnight. He later went on to compete in The X Factor Australia in 2015, as well as Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2022.
